Hey, I’m Rhys.

Based in South West England, I’ve been working in and around football as a freelance journalist for more than two years.

Having launched FromTheSpot in 2022 when I first dived into the industry, I’ve served as Editor-in-Chief ever since and have had the pleasure of covering elite men’s and women’s football across the continent, including five major European finals.

More recently, I co-founded La Reina, a premium women’s football magazine that strives to shine a light on the untold stories across the sport.

I’ve also had the pleasure of contributing to award-winning content at VAVEL, and I’m currently a 2025 Student Fellow at the John Schofield Trust, giving me access to regular masterclasses and expert mentoring.
